As the time approaches March, the season is changing in Animal Crossing New Horizons. For players in the Northern Hemisphere, Spring gradually emerges with trees and flowers becoming more vibrant. Now, in this ACNH March 2022 update guide, we’ll go through the new items, events, seasonal materials, and DIY recipes available in March.
ACNH March 2022 Update - Animal Crossing New Horizons March Events and Items
There are no big events in ACNH March 2022 because Bunny Day starts from April 6 this year. But you still have a series of seasonal items and events to get during March, the exact date may be a little different from last year. Check out the following Animal Crossing March events and items 2022. Since the 2.0 update, Nook Shopping seasonal events can occur every year (from 2000 to 2060) instead of requiring an update to be able to experience them.
1. Hinamatsuri (Girl's Day)
Girl’s Day, also known as Hinamatsuri, on this day, families will wish for their girls to grow up healthy and happy. As a celebration of Hinamatsuri, two seasonal items can be ordered in Nook Shopping, the Blossom Lantern and Hinaningyo, which sells 2,400 and 2,560 bells respectively.

2. Pi Day
Animal Crossing Pi Day is a celebration to honor the mathematical constant π (pi) on March 14, the π Pie item was introduced into the game. From March 1 to March 14, 2022, players can obtain this item from Nook Shopping with 314 Animal Crossing bells, if you eat it, you can get five energy points that allow you to relocate trees or break rocks.

3. Shamrock Day
Shamrock Day is an event based on the real-life holiday St. Patrick's Day and celebrated from March 10 to 17 on three different occasions in the game. In Nook Shopping, you can buy a Shamrock Rug, Shamrock Soda, and Shamrock Doorplate. In Able Sisters, the seasonal items include a Shamrock Hat, Shamrock Shoes, Shamrock Suit, and Shamrock Sunglasses. And a Shamrock Wand DIY probably can be obtained through shooting balloons.

4. April Fool’s Day
April Fool’s Day actually occurs on April 1st, but the themed Animal Crossing New Horizons item is starting to be sold from March 26. The Whoopee Cushion can be placed on the ground, on tables, and on other surfaces you want. It is characterized as the feature of a sound resembling flatulence. And there are three variations of Whoopee Cushion in different colors: red, green, and yellow.

ACNH March 2022 Update - Animal Crossing New Horizons March DIYs and Seasonal Materials
The snow has melted, bamboos returning to green again and new materials can be found in Spring. The first one is the Young Spring Bamboo season, which begins on February 25 in Northern Hemisphere. And Tree’s Bounty is a fall seasonal recipe for Southern Hemisphere, which is available in March as well.
