Elden Ring Dung Eater Spirit Ashes Advantages

Dung Eater as a summon has insane value. He has high resistances and high health pool so he's very tanky. He has a little bit of range option with the unique scream that he does where he bursts out and fires these curse bolts at enemies. His weapon, the sword of milos which is what he's using has a blood loss build up which can combine great with bleed builds. But in general, he will proc this bleed on his own which you know bleed does a lot of damage right now. He also has the streak of milos which for him costs no fp, so he can infinitely do it. This streak causes enemies who are hit by it. To now be deeper, taking more damage and faster status build up which is great for bleed. When he does this raw like a war cry, he will get a new moveset when he does r2 or heavy attacks, he'll do a multi-hit combo which is big damage and going to get that bleed build-up.

He's tanky, he's got ranged options, he's got bleed, he's got that incredible debuff, and he's got powerful combos. He's able to solo certain bosses through the use of his bleed and attacks. When you stop faffing around and actually fight with him, he is incredible because he's going to be providing that debuff. He's going to help you build the status if you've got any bleed or any kind of status build up and he's a super tanky target to distract the enemy as well as just being super cool as a summon.

Elden Ring Dung Eater Spirit Summon Locations

You're going to need to speak with the puppeteer, Seluvis. He's part of the Ranni quest line which means you're going to need to come to Ranni's Rise of the Ranni Tower here at the north-western point of the Liurnia lakes.

Steps To Getting Dung Eater Puppets In Elden Ring

To do this, you'll need to go to the Caria Manor and progress through this area until you reach the boss fight. After defeating the boss fight, you've got three towers area and again you need to go to Ranni's Rise to the Ranny Tower. We go inside and we go speak to Ranni. We basically tell her, we're looking for a job, we'll work for her and we'll join her merry little band. At which point, she'll say go speak with my band then which is Izzy the giant blaith, the awesome half-wolf and Seluvis’s the puppeteer. He'll mention to you that he wants to speak to you privately in his tower. His tower is just the south east very easy to get to. So just run over there and go speak to him. He will give you a mission to give the blue potion. He wants you to make sure that a character called Nepheli drinks it. What this potion does is it's going to transform that person that you give it to into a suitable puppet.

Elden Ring Dung Eater Spirit Summon Requirements

There are some requirements to get that all going. We're going to need to come to Leyndell and go into the sewers to go meet the Dung Eater. Meaning we must enter Leyndell. Therefore, you have a requirement of defeating two shard bearer bosses whichever one you want to go do. That could be Godfrey and that could be Rennala or Radahn. But whoever to you, go kill, you will now be able to enter the city through this side passage at the ramparts and progress on. You're going to reach this first grace which is the east capital rampart and you're going to be very close to your first seed bed curse item. As part of the Dung Eater storyline you actually need to get five of them and feed them to him.

All we need is one for this, so the easiest one to get is very near to the East Capital Rampart. It's in a tower down there. If you follow this route from the grace that we're speaking of we can just lead you straight to it. We just have to make it to this elevator and go down. What you can see across the way right there in that room is the item, that is what we need to go pick up. So all we have to do is go into this building and go upstairs all the way to that Elden Ring item. Once we have that, we can go speak to the Dung Eater who should have appeared at the round table. If you haven't spoken to him before he'll assume you've never seen the curse or he's just not really interested in you. But once you have that cursed item, he will suddenly perk up and be interested in you. So speak to him when you've got that and he will suddenly say“Here's this key to free me, go free me and I will kill you.”

We are going to the Underground Roadside Grace. To do so, just going to run down these stairs and run straight forward until you are in line with the wing of the dragon. Turn left at the wing and sort of just jump over the side and there's going to be a well. This is the entrance to the sewer that you're looking for. On your left is going to be a door you can push open. We drop down and progress through the sewer area. Now you're in the area where the grace is, so we turn left at this ladder and hop on down, straight ahead of me on your left is the grace that we needed to go to. Now from the Underground Roadside Grace, we're going to leave that room and turn left and run to the end of this corridor and drop down. We're going to run down this route all, there's going to be a sewer entrance on the right going to ignore that. We're going to turn left, there's going to be three flowers and then a ladder. We are going to climb up this and once we're up the ladder, you hold the wall on the right to avoid the hands that are going to ambush you. We're just going to ignore them and not aggro them at all and this is the doorway with the Dung Eater. You use the key and you'll be able to enter and speak to him. All you need to do is tell him you're free now just get out of here and try not to think about what he was doing when you got here and the things that he was saying the horrible things.

So we need to return to the round table hold and go see the Dung Eater who is now missing because we freed him. There's a message there now it says” I'll defile you next. Come to the outer moat.” They're speaking about the outer moat of Leyndell which is actually very near the entrance that we went through with that boss fight. It's a small little lake we just have to go down there. Once we're down here, he will invade you and you just have to kill him and defeat him. At this point he will drop his sword of milos which is incredible sword. Once you've defeated him we can come back to the round table again to speak with him again where he's kind of confused that you beat him and then he thinks you were him and that's the only way that that was possible. This is where he asked you to start feeding him the seedbed curses to get that different ending to the game. If we go back to his sewer location in his prison, he'll be sitting there and now for some reason tied to a chair. At this stage we can finally give him the blue potion and now he's ready to become a puppet. We'll need to go back to Seluvis and speak with him. Because you've consumed the potion, he'll assume you gave it to the person he asked you to do it for, you just lie to him. Either way that makes him like you enough to then try to train you in some of his sorceries. You'll need to buy all of his spells, so now we bought his spells.

We're going to come back to Ranni's Rise Tower in the middle and we're going to go to his secret area. We just come out here and turn left and there's going to be these ruins kind of immediately in front of us. You'll see this entrance, you'll need to do a plunge attack to reveal it right in the middle of the spot and then go down into the room. This is where he's doing all of his puppeteering and a message on the right says ” Seluvis’ puppet. Do not touch.” Either way, there's an illusion wall on the left of that that we hit, we can come into this back room and on our left, there is the Dung Eater in his puppet form ready to be used. Now we've seen that we can go speak to the puppeteer and basically question him. While he doesn't appreciate you snooping around in his poem which is fair enough and revealing his secrets. He is actually okay with you being interested in puppets and will actually give you one you can pick either one of the two both are not very good, but you need to pick one, and then you actually need to summon it as soon as possible. You can even do it in this area, this will progress is a dialogue which we need to do.

The last part of this is to do with starlight shards. These items you can find all around the world. This is a currency to the puppeteer and it would seem it's what he uses to fuel the puppets. You're going to need 5 of these to be able to purchase the Dung Eater Puppet and he won't actually even sell you the Dung Eater Puppet until you've found one in your current save. The easiest one you can get the early game is going to be here at the Agheel Lake South Grace. Head southeast from here though and go up the hill and on the edge of the hill, you'll be able to pick up a starlight shard. With our shards and having used the puppet that he did give us, he will now offer to sell us more puppets. In this case one of the puppets that we have used the potion on in this case the Dung Eater which we can buy for those 5 shards. Unfortunately the Dung Eater puppet is expensive 118 fp is no joke.

How To Summon Dung Eater In Elden Ring

If you aren't aware there's a trick you can use with the flask of wondrous physick to give you a brief period where you don't actually need any fp to summon or cast any spells. Drink it and now you have infinite fp for a period which then allows me to summon any summon no matter how expensive it is. To mix your wondrous physick in that way, what you need is the cerulean hidden tear that is found at this Minor Erdtree in the Volcano Manor or Mount Gelmir region. Defeat the guardian of that tree and you will get that civilian tier.

That is everything to get Elden Ring best spirits Dung Eater puppets. He is awesome a great option in general. The fact that his scream makes the status build up faster and also the enemies take more damage. He's just ridiculously strong even if he wasn't a good summon on his own, he's going to survive long fights with you and be very versatile in general.
