Magma Whip Candlestick

• 50 points into Dexterity and Faith is recommended.

• Good armor that provides high poise is recommended.

• Dual whip playstyle with urumi or hoslow's petal whip is recommended.

• Very good against bleed resistant or bleed immune enemies and bosses.

• Has shorter range compared to most whips.

• Best paired with winged sword insignia and millicent's prosthesis.

• Overall a very good whip that does both physical and fire damage, and has a fantastic weapon skill.

Giant's Red Braid

• Incantation build with clawmark seal or a block counter playstyle is recommended.

• 50 points into Strength, Faith and Dexterity is recommended for this weapon.

• Due to its Strength scaling equipping a greatshield is ideal.

• Flame grant me Strength is very well suited for this weapon as it deals both physical and fire damage.

• Best paired winged sword insignia and millicent's prosthesis.

• Has a fantastic weapon skill flame dance that deals AOE damage repeatedly.

• Overall a very good whip that scales with both strength and faith.

Whip

• Dual whip playstyle is recommended.

• The bleed infusion provides decent STR/DEX/ARC scaling.

• Keen provides the best physical damage out of the infusion.

• Best paired winged sword insignia and millicent's prosthesis.

• Has the lowest attack rating in all infusion.

• The weapon whip in the game but can be found relatively early.

Thorned Whip

• Dual whip with either double thorned whip or hoslow's petal whip or dragon communion with occult infusion.

• Cold infusion is also viable as it stacks both bleed and frost build up on each hit.

• Best paired with lord of blood’s exultation and white mask.

• Occult infusion  is a viable option as points an arcane also increases bleed build up and overall attack.

• Can only be acquired somewhat near end of the game.

• Outperformed by every other whips except the“whip”.

• The weapon applies bleed natively on each hit.

Urumi

• Can also be played in a spell whip playstyle with the magic infusion.

• Dual wielding with whip is viable as both scales well with keen affinity.

• The unique charge R2 has great range, however the hitbox of the charge R2 is small and can easily miss enemies.

• Can be acquired somewhat early in the game.

• The best whip in the game in terms ogf overall attack rating.

Hoslow’s Petal Whip

• Best paired with the lord of blood's exultation and the white mask.

• Magic, occult and cold infusion is recommended for this weapon.

• White overall attack rating is lower than urumi but it offset by the native bleed build up.

• Arguably the best non-unique whip in the game.
