after a month of the synthesis league in path of exile, the developers give an insight into what they are currently working on. this includes not only minor improvements and bug fixes, but also an event for the end of the league. in addition, the makers of path of exile reveal when the announcement of the next league is done - and what the players can adjust with this.
it's probably no secret that the synthesis league in path of exile has been more bumpy than many players have wished. the complicated system used to link memories in the nexus, disappointing results in item synthesizing, and performance issues has meant that some adventurers have not fallen into this league as much as the betrayal league before. which makes it all the more interesting what the hard-working heads of ggg are working on. in a small blog entry community manager bex reveals more about it.
so this week a small patch followed which takes some mistakes and also influences the backend. the latter players will not notice directly, but it should lead to "infrastructure improvements." much more interesting for players, however, is the announcement of a new event.
at the end of april, the developers want to explain in detail, with which event the players can usher in the end of the poe 3.6 synthesis league. it is expected to start on may 10th. "we are currently evaluating the possibility of offering this event on the console as well, which is currently relatively feasible," reads the official article. it should probably be an poe 3.6 synthesis flashback event in the style of mayhem, turmoil or flashback. such events have already been said for exciting gameplay in the past, as league elements, modifiers, and enemy types were thrown wildly apart. in addition, there are often rewards for players who can do well in wraeclast - ergo fast as the flash through the file.
the synthesis league on the pc is expected to end on tuesday, june 4, at 0:00 am gmt. this date could change in the near future, but they will let you know in due time. the synthesis league on the console ends with the launch of 3.7.0.
the announcement of the next league and thus of patch 3.7.0 is scheduled for may 17-24 - a more accurate date will follow as the deadline approaches. details also exist accordingly only at the announcement; nevertheless, it is already clear that the balancing in this patch (finally!) focuses on the melee style of play. it has not been able to compete with ranged classes for quite a while, which are much more successful in combat because of their mechanics. this is partly due to the escalating spells and abilities in path of exile - who can not crumble dozens of monsters that fill the screen in one second is comparatively weak. the last leagues have also been very focused on killing enemies, so slow & safe classes like melee tanks will not be able to see all aspects of the game.
overall, the new league should also be "simpler" than the previous one. the internal tests of the league are also already more advanced than is otherwise the case at this point of development.
