1. Brand New Personality Badges
The NBA 2K20 badges added this time is not specifically skill-based badges, they are personality ones, there are three new badges with details as below:
Media Ringmaster – This player thrives in front of the cameras and prefers to play in big markets. Pretty straightforward, you should expect players with this badge to be more likely to sign to a big market team. Players with this are probably like big shots and play for big teams like Lakers or the Knicks and ask for trades or leave the current team.
Warm Weather Fan – These are for the beachgoers that would rather play in warm, temperate climates and avoid the really cold home teams. Players with this are probably want to play to the coast like Miami.
Finance Savvy – These are players that factor in the tax rate in where they want to go in the hopes of really making the most out of their money. Players with this want to take less money as possible to go to a better team.
2. Action Point System
New overview landing menu along with Action Point System is being introduced into NBA 2K20. Main functions of MyGM mode need AP to realize, like trades, chit chats with players, staff, other general managers, play a game on the sticks, and more. you need to make the best decision among these options to help your team become the winner, which is made to manage and use the time and resource better. This means you can experience the NBA 2K20 MyGM mode in your own way, on the other hand, everything focuses on the AP and it should take times to get, you may need to buy the action points with NBA 2K VC.
3. Revamped Goals and Tasks, Relationships
In MyGM 2.0, anyone in the organization including the governor, staff members and even the players can give a task, contact with the real life, not all tasks are positive to the team, you don't have to complete each goal but figure out which ones are useful and can help the team, which ones are suboptimal but worth the relationship boost and which ones you’ll simply have to salvage.

4. New Skill Tree
NBA 2K20 MyGM brings a new skill tree, you can put points into the skill tree in five different places:
Leadership (L) – A man of the locker room, a leadership-focused GM is better able to build the trust of those around them, gain boosts for playing games, and lower trust loss in press conferences.
Diplomacy (D) – A way with words, a diplomatic GM can build trust by having chit chats with several different groups, can help improve revenue and help sign more big name free agents.
Insight (I) – A deep sense of understanding, an insightful GM can understand what affects the mood and trust of those around him, access the trade finder, or improve scouting.
Finance (F) – An eye for the bottom line, a financial GM can improve revenue, sign players for less and gain additional sponsorship slots.
Facilities (FC) – A man with the plan, a facility-oriented GM can choose from a specialty facility for a permanent boost to one of five areas, can help boost players on game days or turn high attendance into improved relations with sponsors.
You can build the best team through the five different trees, which supply a chance for players to try different styles and find the optimal route to win the title. Extra ways given to save or spend AP and financial become more important. Some rules featured in MyGM 2.0:
- You can pick your general style to start with level one and move along any one of the starting five trees or to adjacent skills
- You’ll gain passive benefits with each level
- As your experience grows, you’ll gain more AP per day and the ability to bank AP from day to day.
- Once a month, you’ll also be able to ‘respec’ and reset the skill tree
5. Leveling System
These XP boosts tended to be pretty overpowered; giving +5-10 across the board and boosting potential made it easy for anyone to simply walk in and simulate their way to a championship. In the NBA 2K20 leveling structure, the core way to earn XP is by winning games and completing specific MyGM-related tasks. 6. Score and Leaderboards
The final one is the most important NBA 2K20 MyLeague feature, the leaderboards increase competitiveness between players.
Starting with the score system, you need to select a difficulty from easy, medium and hard, the harder the difficulty, the longer the scoring period is and the fewer AP you’ll get per day. You can earn points through winning games, making the playoffs, or having players win various awards. Your scores received from players were inherited will be reduced at the beginning and will continue to grow when you get more signings to avoid players exploiting the system. You need to outplay, outdraft, outwit and outlast all of the other rivals to get the highest score on the global MyGM 2.0 leaderboards.
On the leaderboards, you are allowed to see others on the same difficulty and who built the best team in a given month, or set you and your friends to compete for local supremacy through the filter. You can keep playing the standard MyGM throughout 80 years, but based on the difficulty, you have a set amount of years to increase your score before your time is up for leaderboard progress. Five years for easy, ten for medium and fifteen for hard.
