This event has limited time Cherry Blossom furniture items available to craft by using DIY recipes that we can find all across our islands. In this guide, we will explain to you how to have these cherry blossom petals during the spring and even after the spring to be able to continue crafting seasonal items.
In Animal Crossing New Horizons, the cherry-blossom series is a set of craftable furniture. The cherry blossoms come directly from the non-fruit trees in the game. As you stroll around your island, you will see petals flying like butterflies. Then take out your net and catch them to get them. The appearance of flower petals is a little random, you will not be able to force the game to have more (by shaking the trees for example).
If you still want to have flower petals for the rest of the year, nothing prevents you from keeping them in your inventory to enjoy them in winter or even changing the time on your console!

2) Gifted from fellow villages around the island
3) Most commonly these DIY recipes are found in the balloon presents that randomly float across our skies
Tips To Help You Collect More Cherry Blossom DIY Recipes
The Sakura season starts on April the 1st and ends on April the 10th in the Northern Hemisphere or October 1st to October 10th in the Southern Hemisphere. There is another event Bunny Day which allows you to craft egg items there during this time. Unfortunately, the bloom is floating across our skies for the Bunny Day Event seem to be dominating spawning every few minutes which either makes it difficult to spot other balloons or replaces them altogether. This is of course making it extremely difficult to focus on finding their cherry blossom recipes that can be found in ordinary blooms. There's a simple way around this that we will explain just shortly but first, we'll go over a few tips on what you should be looking for if you're on the hunt for Cherry Blossom DIY recipes:
1) Ignoring the special multicolored egg balloons, it seems different colored blooms primarily drop specific items. Blue blooms more often drop crafting materials, green balloons seem to drop clothing items, red balloons drop DIY recipes and yellow balloons tend to drop on bells, so this is a good indication that if you're looking for DIY recipes, you should keep an eye out for red balloons.
2) However it turns out seasonal DIY recipes such as the cherry blossom DIY recipes that are so hard to find can appear in any colored balloons.
