ACNH 2.0 Update - Animal Crossing New Horizons May 2021 Update Predictions

The ongoing Prom Season is the last event introduced in the ACNH 1.9 update, so the next update to be revealed would be the 2.0 update. What new events are going to happen in May and what new Animal Crossing items will be added? In this ACNH 2.0 Update prediction, we’ll go through all the events and items included in ACNH May 2021 Update (live).

There are a few classic and well-known events annually celebrated in May across the world and some of them could be added to New Horizons next months, both big events or mini seasonal events need Nintendo to update the game to a 2.0 version before May begins. Also, some features including museum cafe, Nook's Cranny upgrades and the return of Brewster are much expected by lots of players. 

May Day Tour

One of the biggest festivals in May is May Day which many of you guys experienced last year, May Day is an ACNH event that takes places on May 1st, during this event, players can get a May Day Ticket acts like Nook Miles Tickets and use it at the airport, the player will be transported to a unique island with an elaborate hedge maze, you can meet Rover after going through the maze and win prizes from the May Day island. It is entirely possible that Nintendo might just decide not to include this event this time around, they didn't include the special Nook Mile+ goals for Earth Day this time which was very strange, but it'd be even harder to imagine them not including an event like May Day which introduced us to Rover, the only place where you can see him and get his Briefcase. There would have to be some kind of update in late April before May in order for them to bring back May Day and add some new items, features, or characters. They could make changes to the May Day event, it'd be a good idea for them to update it, maybe add a new character and at least add new prizes and change up the maze unless they decide to just repeat it or not add it at all.

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is a celebration that falls on May 10th in the game last year, there is only a seasonal item (Thank-you Mom mug) that you can purchase from the Nook Shopping tab, typically, the player will also receive a letter with a present from their mother on this day. This time around they might actually add more items. In recent updates, we got a sort of mini-events like Shamrock Day event, Lunar New Year event, Prom Season event, along with a ton of new seasonal items to collect from the Nook Shopping. The American version will most likely see more items added to that event if we do get an update and maybe even some kind of message from Isabella or something like that or dialogue from your villagers, that'd be really cute. Either they're going to repeat this content from last year which is possible though they will still need to unlock it somehow with an update. 

International Museum Day

International Museum Day is an event introduced in New Horizons and took place on May 18th, 2020, during this event, Blathers will hold Stamp Rallies at the museum. Speak to Blathers, players can participate in the activity, collect all three of a wing's stamps and speak to Blathers again will reward a completion stamp and an exclusive plaque. Lots of players found this concept really cool but a bit disappointing in its execution and the prizes were very lackluster as well. It'd be great if for international museum day we could even see some kind of update for the museum and even the returning of Brewster.

ACNH May 2021 Seasonal Events

When it comes to the ACNH May 2021 seasonal events that actually could be added to the game in the ACNH 2.0 update or ACNH May 2021 update, Nintendo loves to do these seasonal events and add lots of different seasonal items from around the world to the Nook Shopping, this is something they've done with every recent update, if it happens in may there's quite a few good choices for seasonal events they could add, such as the World Laughter Day, which is a real-world event to be celebrated on May 2, 2021, this year, this is an annual event celebrated to raise awareness about laughter and its many healing benefits. Another option is the Cinco de Mayo, which is a celebration of Mexican heritage, commemorates the date of the Mexican army's victory over France at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. There are also Children’s Day in Japan takes place on May 5, they tend to add a Japanese sort of item in every update. There's also World Bee Day on May 20th, maybe they'll make some kind of celebration for bees, bees are a thing in Animal Crossing especially in previous games, they turned them into wasps in this version but still, there's also World Turtle Day on May 23. Africa Day is celebrated every year on 25 May to commemorate the founding of the Organisation of African Unity. So many potential items they could add for these events happening around the world in May, which kind of items would you like to see?
